slide Day 1Dublin City Tour | Custom House
Your tour departs at 2:00 PM from your Dublin hotel. Set out on a panoramic tour of the city. Highlights include 18th-century Georgian houses with brightly painted doors, tranquil parks, and historic O'Connell Street. Visit the Custom House, an architectural and historic gem built in 1791 on the Liffey quays, once Ireland's trade route to the world. In the evening, enjoy a welcome drink with your group before dinner in your hotel. (D)
Enjoy the delightful scenery of the Wicklow Mountains on the way to Glendalough. Explore the remains of one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland, founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century. Walk through the deep valley to view the picturesque ruins of a round tower, churches, and Celtic crosses. Head southeast to the Dunbrody Famine Ship, an authentic reproduction of an 1840's vessel that brought desperate Irish emigrants fleeing famine to the New World. Continue on to Waterford and take a stroll around the streets of this historic city with a local guide before dinner. (B, D)
See skilled artisans create crystal masterpieces at the House of Waterford Crystal, a CIE Tours preferred shopping partner. Travel to Cobh for a guided walking tour - this harbor town was the last port of call for the Titanic in 1912 and was also the main point of embarkation for Irish emigrants between 1848 and 1960. Proceed on to Blarney, to visit Blarney Castle and kiss the famous “Stone of Eloquence” or explore the tranquil gardens. Guinness Pint

The Adventure tour was ideal for getting to see many different areas of Ireland as well as major attractions. The hotels were comfortable and the food was always good. The choice of places to stop for lunch gave us a chance to dine in a really old Irish pub as well as taste traditional dishes.

Good tour not clear booking...

Loved all the places we ate and most of the places we stayed although my boyfriend is 6'4 and some of the hotels had short beds, lol. We also loved Bob the sheepdog and the beautiful scenery along the way. It is a lot of bus time which took its toll but Murt has a great knowledge of Ireland- that cannot be beat.

Our 2nd tour with CIE, really good experience

We really enjoyed seeing the whole of Ireland this time. We took Taste of Ireland in 2014. Love the country. Our tour guide wasn't quite as friendly as our first guide but he took us on a great tour. Also, there was a bit too much anti US government commentary by him and at least 3 of our local guides. Why irritate half our nation...?
