slide Day 1Dublin City Tour | Custom House
Your tour departs at 2:00 PM from your Dublin hotel. Set out on a panoramic tour of the city. Highlights include 18th-century Georgian houses with brightly painted doors, tranquil parks, and historic O'Connell Street. Visit the Custom House, an architectural and historic gem built in 1791 on the Liffey quays, once Ireland's trade route to the world. In the evening, enjoy a welcome drink with your group before dinner in your hotel. (D)
Enjoy the delightful scenery of the Wicklow Mountains on the way to Glendalough. Explore the remains of one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland, founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century. Walk through the deep valley to view the picturesque ruins of a round tower, churches, and Celtic crosses. Head southeast to the Dunbrody Famine Ship, an authentic reproduction of an 1840's vessel that brought desperate Irish emigrants fleeing famine to the New World. Continue on to Waterford and take a stroll around the streets of this historic city with a local guide before dinner. (B, D)
See skilled artisans create crystal masterpieces at the House of Waterford Crystal, a CIE Tours preferred shopping partner. Travel to Cobh for a guided walking tour - this harbor town was the last port of call for the Titanic in 1912 and was also the main point of embarkation for Irish emigrants between 1848 and 1960. Proceed on to Blarney, to visit Blarney Castle and kiss the famous “Stone of Eloquence” or explore the tranquil gardens. Guinness Pint

The Adventure tour was ideal for getting to see many different areas of Ireland as well as major attractions. The hotels were comfortable and the food was always good. The choice of places to stop for lunch gave us a chance to dine in a really old Irish pub as well as taste traditional dishes.

The Irish Adventure is a very busy trip as the itinerary indicates. It qas great to see the whole Island every day is something unique and different. The food was great and the hotels were all nice. Our coach driver was Murt if you are licky enough to get him you are guaranteed a good time.

I would highly recommend this tour and CIE Tours to anyone interested in visiting the Emerald Isle, Hotels were great, food was awesome, and more than anything else, Tour Director Frank Foster was absolutely the best. He was very informational, never boring, mixing history, Irish folklore and humor every day. He presented Ireland in a way that made me want to live there.
