slide Day 1Dublin City Tour | St. Patrick's Cathedral
Your tour departs at 2:00 PM from your hotel in Dún Laoghaire, a charming seaside suburb. Head out for a panoramic tour of Dublin, seeing historic O'Connell Street, Georgian buildings and squares, and St Stephen's Green. Visit St. Patrick's Cathedral, an 800-year-old Gothic church built on the site of an ancient well believed to have been used by St. Patrick himself. Return to your hotel for a welcome drink with your fellow guests, and then enjoy an independent evening of dining and exploring as you wish..
Head to the vibrant, artistic city of Galway. Along the way, enjoy a drink at Sean's Bar in Athlone. The oldest pub in Europe, Sean's Bar has been quenching thirsts since 900 AD. Join a local guide for a walking tour through Galway and discover this thriving city of medieval winding lanes and buzzing street life. Enjoy some free time to explore Galway on your own, then join your fellow travelers for dinner at your hotel. (B, D)
Explore scenic Connemara to admire how constantly changing cloud formations give granite hills, sparkling lakes and peat bogs an added dimension. Take a short catamaran cruise of Killary Harbour, a 9-mile fjord (seasonal). CIE tour of Ireland was outstanding.

The trip was great. Unfortunately, my wife contracted covid and we missed several days of the tour. Marion did a fantastic job arranging medical help and arranging new accommodations for us. We were able to rejoin the tour on the last day. We are very grateful and wish to thank Marion for all the concern and help she provided to us.

Don't tour Ireland on your own, book a CIE Bus Tour.

Brian our tour guide kept us engaged, was witty and knowledgeable. We saw some much, even just on the drive to the attractions, Brian told us about points of interest along the way and the history of Ireland. Along with our driver they made the trip even more memorable.

Wonderful Experience

There was lots to love about our tour: Galway, Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle, Jaunting Buggy ride, and Killarney were big highlights. The hotels were mostly excellent, just know that not all had AC and none had outlets in the bathroom to use blowdryers. All meals were great and staff at all locales were top notch. Our guide Tommy was quite a character, and our driver Martin kept us on track. Would like to have spent less time at gift shop stops, and a little more time in Waterford exploring the new museums that have opened recently. Overall, a memorable experience! Ireland is a beautiful country!

Everything was perfect!! However, as a suggestion, we would have enjoyed another night in Killarnary or an overnight in Kilkenny vs. Waterford. Although we enjoyed Waterford, touring the Waterford Crystal Factory and the walking tour, we thought this could have been accomplished in a day stop vs. and overnight stay - this is just a personal preference though :
