Great experience. This was our first "land tour" so don't have anything else to compare it to but we had no complaints. The Edinburgh tatoo was a main focus for us and was handled extremely well as far as getting us into the venue, the seating and getting us out and back to our hotel.

Professional company, well planned/organized, but lean tours for elder folk
This was very organized and interesting but it was not what I thought the tour would be. I was hoping for a lot more walking around, for a bit of more culture. I felt like I was on a boot camp schedule and on the tour buses too long. It is really meant for our elder people/couples. When I called CIE, I told them I wanted to go to a particular family castle, but when in country the tour bus would not go out of the way. It was the only reason for my trip, had I known I would not have chosen this package.

It was a good experience altogether although I wish it had been a bit longer in the countryside and less around Edinburgh.
The hotels were very posh. The one outside Edinburgh was a bit too far away from the city for my taste and we spent a fair amount of time getting there and back.
Guide was very good; driver (who was to have been the main man in Ireland, i believe) was also very good.
